Verdict. Although I think the 2003 remake is arguably the better action movie but I have to go with the original starring Michael Caine as the characters are so much more entertaining, the dialogue is iconic and it never ceases to be wonderfully escapist fun.Less giddy and more cohesive than the original, the film doesn't waste time, plunging almost directly into a spectacular heist.
